On Jan. 1st, for the fourth year in a row, we’ll be jumping into the Rose Parade in Pasadena with a bunch of groovy floats on different topics. We had a blast last year and marched the entire route with a bunch of other groups last January 1st.
Floats and banners are encouraged. We enter the parade from a side street when the last float passes. We’ll have extra banners so don’t worry if you didn’t get a chance to make one.
We will meet at Singer Park at 7am. Those with floats should arrive by 6am. Traffic is CRAZY in Pasadena that morning, so plan on using the Metro Rail Goldline, get off at the FILLMORE station, and meet at Singer Park if you’d like to march with us. Please be aware most residential streets are closed by 6am in the surrounding neighborhoods that day. So if you’re delivering a float, 5:30-6am is the drop off time for our meeting area. If you’re coming by foot, take the Metro Goldline.
OVB float handlers will be at Singer Park beginning at 5:30-6am to meet you. We usually start marching by 8am, but 7am is the meeting time.
Feel free to contact us at if you get lost or have questions. Join us to Occupy the Rose Parade, again!
